A return to the distinctive lines for which Codecasa creations are known – classic and traditional while at once modern and contemporary, with stunning, pure white shining all over. Inside, the owners wanted the ambience and décor to be inspired by the beauty of classical Italian art. Codecasa is a historic Italian shipbuilder dating back to 1825. Guided by tradition, the yard has always been run by the same family, and today Codecasa continues to be a leading symbol of Italian excellence, with a prestigious international reputation to boot. The yard has three production sites called Ugo Codecasa, Codecasa Due and Codecasa Tre.
In the world of pleasure craft, magnificence in itself is nothing new. Not even the preciousness of every tiniest detail can amaze. What makes “Moneikos” special is that luxury notwithstanding she manages to emanate an intimate family atmosphere. Everything began with the owner of a 50 metre yacht built by the same Viareggio yard. Seeking more space and comfort for himself and his guests he commissioned a 62 metre from Codecasa. The next step, strategically fundamental, was taken in the design rooms where the yard’s engineers worked in close contact with the architects of Studio Dellarole, especially for the exteriors, and with their counterparts at Studio Dedalo for the interiors.
Displaying stunningly sleek lines and a magnificent two-toned blue livery, Maria Carla was lowered into the water for the first time last July, against the backdrop of Viareggio’s historic inner harbour, the Darsena. The quayside of the Codecasa Due shipyard was packed with friends of the owner, civic notables and the craftsmen who had created this magnificent 34.6 metre sports yacht.
