A new unit from the Codecasa Vintage series is about to take to the sea – the new 43-metre C122. In an historical Italian shipyard, the finishing touches are being put to a new model in the famed Vintage range, with Codecasa offering the market a timeless range of yachts.
Cantieri Navali Codecasa are very proud to announce that on June 16, 2017, during the Ceremony for the XXVIII Edition of the “Pionieri della Nautica” Awards held at Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure, Mr Fulvio Codecasa, the Owner of Cantieri Navali Codecasa, was awarded with the valued “Pionieri della Nautica 2017” Award in the Managers Category.
The “Pionieri della Nautica” Award was established by UCINA Confindustria Nautica in 1988. For more than 10 years now, it has been held under the Patronage of Minister of Economic Development as an acknowledgement of the effort, reliability and capabilities of men, entrepreneurs, skilled workers, operators and journalists who have strongly believed and go on believing in the industry.
Mr Fulvio Codecasa was awarded with the following motivation “The Codecasa Company is able to combine an undisputed naval craftsmanship with the most modern and technologically advanced innovations. The Codecasa brand is nowadays one of the most valued in the international yachting industry”.
During the event, the Award was collected by Mrs Fulvia Codecasa, Mr Codecasa’s eldest daughter, who is also the Chairman of Cantieri Navali Codecasa. Picture attached.
The boats of Codecasa’s Vintage Series are starting to feel like the components of an extravagant magic trick. Ladies and gentlemen, watch these three carefully: the first, launched in 2011, is 42 metre Magari; the second, 42 metre Libra, which hit the water in 2013; while the third – and largest so far – 50 metre Gazzella, was unveiled last year. There is variation in size but the DNA is identical – classic lines that hark back to the mid 20th century, with a layout that offers 21st century-sized spaces. Old-fashioned grace, modern proportions – and, from the dock, that family lineage is clear. But the interior styles of the three boats are so far apart that, while exploring one, it is hard to believe that she could be related to either of the Others.
In issue 22, Yacht Première presented a full portrait of the firstCodecasa 42. Bearing yard number F73 and later named Magari by her lucky Owner, this luxurious motor yacht marked the start of the new Vintage Series. This new collection of exclusive vessels has been specially created by the Italian shipyard to bring back into the limelight a classic style with a timeless appeal – that of the legendary navettes in vogue in the early years of the last century in both Europe and North America.
